This podcast is a recording of my local radio interview with Cate Mercer, Castlemaine local and editor of the Art of Healing magazine. Our half-hour discussion covers trauma and the body, and biodynamic craniosacral therapy as a treatment for trauma.
In particular, we talk about the nervous system responses of flight, fright and freeze. Discussion about the fight-flight response often do not include much about the freeze response, so in this interview Cate and I devote some attention to it.
We discuss how these responses may be excellent strategies in threatening situations but can be the cause of ongoing nervous system disregulation. I talk about my own experiences and how biodynamic craniosacral therapy helped me to begin unwinding them, after trying many other therapies and years of meditation. The safety of biodynamic craniosacral therapy was the key for me and my nervous system.
This interview aired on MainFM in Castlemaine on 14th March, 2021.
